If you use Claude Code, Cursor or Claude Desktop for front-end work, you have probably installed Playwright MCP, Microsoft’s browser automation server. It is excellent. It is also built for a different job from Enrichr, and knowing the difference saves a lot of frustrated “why doesn’t this match?” prompting.

Playwright MCP exposes a browser to the model through tools like navigate, click, type and snapshot. Its default mode hands the model an accessibility snapshot, a structured tree of elements and roles, instead of a screenshot. That makes it fast and dependable for operating a page: logging in, filling a form, checking a flow still works after a change. It is free, open source and runs locally.
What Enrichr is built for
Enrichr is built for measuring how a page was made, then handing those measurements to the model in a form it can build from. A capture returns the computed design tokens (palette, type scale, spacing, radii, easings), the fonts actually loaded, the animation timelines that played, compiled WebGL shaders and the 3D scene graph, plus a rebuild brief and an asset zip. That is the information an accessibility tree deliberately leaves out, and it is exactly what a rebuild needs.

Is Playwright MCP free?
Yes. Playwright MCP is open source from Microsoft and runs locally.
Can Playwright MCP clone a website?
It can drive a browser and take screenshots, and Claude can rebuild from those. It doesn’t report computed design tokens, animation timings or WebGL shaders, so motion and exact values end up guessed.
Can I use Enrichr and Playwright MCP together?
Yes. A common setup uses Playwright to operate and test your local build, and Enrichr to capture the reference site you are matching.
Does Enrichr click and fill forms?
It has an interact_with_page tool for reaching states (opening a menu, scrolling) before capturing, but it is not a general test-automation tool. Use Playwright for end-to-end tests.
